I had a qick look and it is easy to navigate but needs more traffic and reviews to get going properly. Unfortunately there are hundreds of others that do similar things but perhaps not so broad based as yours. However the site is nice and clean and easy to navigate and good luck with it.

I just replied but my message seems to have disappeared so here I go again ...

Your website is a brilliant idea. Simple but easy to navigate. However, navigation may become an issue once you have more reviews. Have you considered using a tagging system?

Funnily enough I am doing something similar, but just concentrating on places for kids in the UK.

Anyway, I regsitered with ease and added a review.

Best of luck with your project, I will be following it with interest.

Hi

Thanks for the comments and for your review. Hadn't thought about a tagging system. With some of the latest reviews as well as random reviews on the home page do you really think it necssary?

Does anybody have any other suggestions on what I could add to enhance or improve the site/

Many Thanks

Lee

LINK EXCHANGE [Re: Happy_Hubby]
      #355174 - Thu Jun 28 2007 07:27 PM

Anybody who has set up a website knows how difficult it is to get indexed by search engines. One well established way of improving your search engine ranking is to get your site linked on other websites. With that in mind I have set up a Link Exchange on my website.

Simply create a link to http://www.thereviewsite.net on your website, then visit the Link Exchange on my website. You will be asked to tell us where our recripocal link is, then you will be able to add your link to our website, which will be published automatically.

This helps to improve both our site's ranking by having more links on the net.

Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions.

Regards

Lee

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but reciprocal links will have little, if any, effect on search engine rankings.

You need one-way incoming links. Try to get your site listed and linked in as many directories as you can. There are many of them around and mostly they are free.

Don't waste your time with DMOZ, you'd be better off banging your head against a wall for an hour or two.

Good luck with your site.

All the best - Duncan
