which nursery website
      #195931 - Thu Jun 02 2005 10:58 PM

Recently I began searching the internet and could not find a site which guides parents through the maze of choosing a nursery. Therefore as I have a great deal of knowledge about nurseries I decided to put it out in the public domain. The site is a little bland at the moment as I do not have any graphics, therefore I would be most grateful if someone could post me a link of where I could get some good royalty free images, or possibly photographs relating to child care that I can use on the site. Here is the link anyway...

happy reading :)

Hi

Your web site is neat and tidy with lots of good information. Not sure about the use of the intro. One suggestion would be to have a contents list or links to the sub sections for each page. This helps the viewer to skip to sections that they may be interested in. Also a link at the bottom so visitors don't have to scroll back to the top.

Good work

Woodp

I really liked the site. It's rare to actually have all the information in one place, usually you have to go to your LEA.

I only scanned but didn't see anything about Ofsted reports - would definitely advise parents to get them as they are all available online.

Layout was clear & easy to follow - but I too would ditch the intro and just go for a page packed with information and links to articles within the site. As for pictures, take your own, especially if you have access to nurseries - you don't need faces of the kids, just close ups on mess everywhere, dinners on floor etc ;) Parents will soon get the idea.

Will putting a link on my site as we have a very small article on finding childcare.

As other people have said lose the intro as it can be frustrating to click several times to get to a site, or wait for a flash animation to load.
Other than that it is a great site with a wealth of knowledge, congratulations.

congratulations for getting you site in webuser tina. Always thought it was such an excellent site with great information for parents looking for the right childcare, and deserves to be in the mag. Perhaps now other people can see what a fantastic job you've done. Keep up the good work..
