The site look well designed and everything seems well laid out. The only thing that I would consider changing is having the yellow text, pages like 'Articles' where there is a lot of text together become a bit hard to read.
Fishing is of no personal interest so I can't comment on the quality/usefulness of the content, but everything appears pretty well designed.
I've built a number of websites over the years and experimented with various background colours , While its nice to use different background colours the fact is most commercial websites use a white background for a variety of good reasons .
Most webmasters seem to eventually start using a white background as resistance is futile and stuff :-)
Only really mention it as you could save yourself some time by changing to a white background now - so you will have less work to do later if you eventually do decide to make the background colour change .
However , Dont make the change just because i suggest it and if you like the black background you currently have and are happy with it then leave things the way they are .
