Thanks for all your feedback people, the main concern seems to be too many colours and an annoying advertising banner. I'm working on these now and will also include the suggested links.
Please keep checking back and the changes should be online soon.
Good feedback is really a must for improving sites. It's the visitors that know what they like and it's best to build a site that they want rather than what you think they want.
