Have been trying to remove some software from my PC using the Remove Programme facility in Windows XP and keep getting the following messages coming up when clicking to remove program:-
"No JRE was found on this system"
"A suitable JVM could not be found"
and it will not allow me to remove the program.
I have installed the latest JRE 6 Update 5 but still keep getting the same messages.
Can anyone please help.
The software I am trying to remove is Football Manager 2007.
Thanks.

Have you tried an uninstall in... "safe mode".

okay , does the JRE 6 Update 5 entry show up in add/remove programs ?
Couple of other options ( providing you haven't tried these already )......
Do you have CCleaner ? it has an uninstall tool. Rather than use add/remove check to see if it has it's own uninstaller. Reinstall the game , then uninstall.

I'm kinda stumped with this one blockhead. Guesswork would suggest that the message you get , "A suitable JVM could not be found" , means that you had an earlier version of Java installed that Football manager depended on. Have you uninstalled any other versions of Java , or do you still have any older entries still showing in add/remove.
Just a thought......you might want to give... Revo uninstaller...a try. It's free so might be worth a try.

Excellent.
As always it would've been nice to have gotten to the root of the problem , strictly for learning purposes of course , but i think in this case it would have been a long drawn out process with no guarantee of an end result. The fact you have managed to remove the offender with the uninstaller is great , so a lot of thanks to the forum member who first alerted me of the program , and , has come up with quite a few other goodies such as Revo.
