Hello
My daughter does not have a writing program, or a spreadsheet one for that matter.
There used to be free 'WORD' compatible program, I think from Sun that could be downloaded on the internet.
is this still available, or is there another option

Open Office from here will do the job. It has all the stuff you find in Microsoft Office, is compatible with it but best of all, IT'S FREE!!!
