Hi, I use windows XP and would appreciate some help in choosing a 4 port USB. I currently have only two ports on my Dell laptop, and have searched websites, including Dell's, for a suitable product. They offer a nifty looking one on their American website (Adaptec 4 port Xhub USB 2.0 Hub for notebooks), but on Dell UK it looks a bit chunky for the twice the price. I would like a compact hub that includes an uplink connector. But I'm wondering what the benefits are of buying one with an external power supply. Would using 'Bus' power slow anything down? And I would prefer fast data transfer for quick printing etc. Strangely enough I cannot find any products of this type reviewed on this website, nor any others, so personal recommendatiosn would be appreciated. I also looked on Ebay. You can buy a flashing spaceship 4 port hub there for 99p! Very cautious about that... Thanks, Marc
