BIG ANNOYING PROBLEM
      #372380 - Fri Nov 16 2007 07:06 PM

I have a VERY frustrating problem. I dont know how on earth it happened, one day everything was fine, and the next my internet doesnt work and I cannot system restore. I've looked around on the internet and cant find any thing that works. I have noticed though that my connection is sending packets, but not recieving any. I thought it might be something to do with the IP address and it was suggested I set my computer to find the IP address automatically. Turned out that it was already set to that, so now I really just dont know what to do. PLEASE! Any help is MUCH appreciated.
Thanks

Mike

G'day pharaohoftheincubi.

Are you using an ADSL modem or an ADSL Router?.

Erm.. I'm not too sure what that is haha... but right now I'm using this thing that you plug into the wall n then I have the internet upstairs even though it's comming from downstairs. I've tried a netgear wireless thing jus to see if there was any difference. It looks like a USB memory stick. Same thing on both. I hope that helps? ...Thinking about it now, I !THINK! I'm using an ADSL router, but I dunno.

G'day pharaohoftheincubi.

I personaly don't let windows control, I have my Wireless Zero Configuration set to Disable. More like you have a missing gateway address.
Your firewall may be set to high.
