I am confused. The house I share with others has wireless internet up and running using AOL broadband and is used 24/7 via Desktop PC(we have one landlin, Modem, Router etc ...) Internet access is 100%. Thing is, I have now purchased a laptop and want to get connected using BT Internet who have a current offer. When I load the CD for BT internet the AOL connection upstairs goes off and it involves restarting AOL and PC in order to get back online. How can I get connected to the internet using a different ISP while using the same landline without disconnecting AO? Any information would be really helpful Clare

You can, as far as I am aware, use only one ISP at a time. if you want to use BT then you have to give up AOL, and it takes days to change from one to another.

A telephone line can only have one ADSL connection from one ISP at any one time. I'm afraid you will have to use AOL or get everyone else to change to BT.
