I don’t know why the strange things have to happen always to me. I was running spyware-detector this morning when the electricity went away.. When it came back I restarted my PC which is working fine, but I’m not able anymore to connect in internet. I live in a student apartment and we share a DSL connection with a router. I’m able to see the other PC and copy file from them, so I assume the LAN is working and the router as well. Moreover, all the other PCs are able to use internet. The LAN status is “connected” and no problems are detected. On device manager there are no conflicts. The only message I got was IP address conflict. I have emule so I set my PC on a permanent IP and I didn’t see any reason why it should create problem now. Anyway I changed my set to get atomically an IP and rebooted my PC. Nothing changed, I’m not able to use internet yet. I have not a restore point because I got a virus few days ago and I switched off the restore system. I cleaned the PC up and I was finishing checking it before to switch it on again. Do have any idea to solve this problem? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got terribly nervous because I cannot see any reason!!! I hope some of you can help me! Cheers, K
I got it! I was missing an obvious step: I clicked on repair before to change the setting and I didn’t after to have enabled DHCP. Now it works!! That happen when you are worried, just don’t think the easiest solution! Bye
