Im clueless at this stuff but tried to the early hours of the morning.
My laptop is a rubbish Advent one and it will connect to the net via my ethernet cable but will not connect wirelessly. I keep going through the wireless wizard and it asks me to insert a usb flash into the laptop it then asks me to insert the usb flash into the "wireless access point"(there isn't a socket to do this) , then to every other device and then back to the computer (I only have a laptop) it then finishes the wizard successfully, but it doesn't connect wirelessly. I don't know what i'm doing wrong. I am using windows XP
Is my ps3 causing a problem? That connected fine and works a dream. Im with Sky broadband and have a netgear router.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Make sure your wireless connection is switched on.
Right-click the wireless icon near the clock (bottom right corner of the screen) and select View available wireless networks.
Your network should be listed as SKYxxx(random numbers).
Click on it, then click the Connect button.
It will ask for a network key. This is printed on a label on the bottom of the router and will also have been given to you on a business card size piece of card.
Type this in both fields, it's case sensitive, then click Connect.
