I'm assuming that that's a homehub then. I have the same piece of kit
As for your problem I've heard of all sorts getting in the way of a successful connection. Here's a list.
Wireless Security. What method are you using? The default WEP or have you played with that at all? Doublecheck the keys you're using to connect.
Wireless Mode. I've heard that putting the hub into 'g' mode only causes errors like this. If this is the case, change the mode to b/g.
Encryption. More speculation, but try using 64 bit encryption instead of 128. Some people have reported success by doing this.
Video Senders used to transmit TV signals from room to room. Someone reported success after turning this device off - Do the same if you have one.
Wireless Channel. Most people recommend to manually set your wireless channel to 1 or 11.
Please come back with what settings you're using etc and we'll work on it from there. If you have any trouble or aren't sure how to do this just give us a shout.

Hello and thanks for replying. Apologies for my lack of knowledge of most of the things you raise and thanks in advance for your patience.
I think I use WEP. In fact, I recently connected a laptop and I used the WEP encriptyon key. How can I doublecheck what I am using ?
Not sure how I can put the hub in any mode B or G - The Hub is a BT Fusion Hub. I have 2 buttons (1 and 2) on the left.
How would I change encryption ?
How do I set the wireless channel ?

Before I go through and write up a small essay for you, can you tell me if it's definitly a HomeHub you have there?
If it is, this link should work to start accessing the router: http://192.168.1.254/
Just a simple yes/no before I go on. I think I know what's at fault now

Irk, I'm not familiar with that model then I'm afraid. Anyone else is free to chip in with some advice now I guess :/
Had a look in any manuals you might have regarding what I suggested? There's always Google too.
