Webuser Forums: Adverts not opening in IE 7

Hi,

For a few weeks now when I open Google sponsored links I get the 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' message. I have excellent connection and can open all other pages. I have not altered any settings, I have Windows XP firewall with BT home hub which has its own firewall, also AVG anti virus.

I tried to access the web pages with firewall and AVG turned off but still the same. I have reset all security, privacy, content, cookies settings etc ..... to default. Also when opening web pages, such as this I get the 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' on the right instead of the advert which should be there. This happens on lots of web pages which include adverts. If I cut and paste the web address of the page into my browser it will open the page but when I click links it simply says 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. I installed Firefox browser but it did exactly the same ?

Any thoughts ??
