Hi Stephen,
There are a few entries there that need looking at.
Can you post a programmes list.
Open Hijackthis,
Click Config | Misc Tools | Open Unistall Manager.
A list of the entries in Add/remove programs will appear.
Click on Save List...
The list will be saved as 'Uninstall_list.txt'
Copy & Paste the contents in your next reply.
Are there any other user accounts on the machine? If there are post separate logs for them.

Close all open Windows except Hijackthis and click on "fix Checked".
Open Windows Explorer, Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure you're able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode".
Reboot the Computer.

That registry cleaner is a rogue.

done that
problem my lads downloads java to play his games but once we shut the computer down. On start up the only way we get java to work is unistall it and reinstall it
Exactly the same happen to windows defender downloaded it works find on restart box comes up cannot open file

maybe the reason your log was missed was because EVERY time you have posted a log you have failed to respond to the helper, in other words we are wasting our time.

Hi Stephen,
As Bricat has said it is important that you respond to a HJT helper within 48 hours. You can imagine how frustrating it is having spent hours researching files in a log only to be ignored. Not only that you cannot complete the fix if there is no communication.
Now back to your current issue.
The only other thing I can see is you appear to be running two Anti-Virus programmmes Norton and AVG.
If this is so you will have to remove one of them as this can cause conflicts.
Let me know.
What firewall do you have?

Both Windows Defender and Sun Java (jre1.6.0_05) are installed according to the log. The sun java just runs in the background as far as I'm aware and there is normally no need to access it.
It may resolve itself once we sort out the log.
Please do a Kaspersky online scan and post the log.

download spywareblaster . every time i run Kapersky it scans to 1242 files every time then it lockes the computer up just freezes .
tried 6 times when you get to accept box or decline this wont even work in firefox have to revert back to explorer
tried to uninstall norton says i have but on hijack log it still show symantec files is it safe to remove these though hijack log
also firewall issue my mistake had system crash forgot firewall reinstall zone alarm installed now.

You need a special tool to remove Norton/Symantec from your Computer. Go to the following site and download the tool relevant to your edition of Norton:

still getting a problem with explorer if i try to open link inside webpage---------------------------

Both Windows Defender and Super AntiSpyware do more or less the same job. There is no need therefore to have them both running at start-up. I suggest disabling one of them. You can do this from within the programmes options or preferences.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Defender] "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe" -hide
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SUPERAntiSpyware] C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SUPERAntiSpyware.exe
Run HJT again and fix this entry:
Open Hijackthis, take another scan and place a checkmark next to these entries.
O16 - DPF: {644E432F-49D3-41A1-8DD5-E099162EEEC5} (Symantec RuFSI Utility Class) - http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/SharedContent/common/bin/cabsa.cab
Close all open Windows except Hijackthis and click on "fix Checked".
Your protections now include:

Windows Defender
SpywareBlaster
Ccleaner.
Please confirm this and let me know if there is anything else?
Then give me a full report on how the Computer is performing and whether the original issues are resolved?
You appear to have a lot of BHO's (Browser Helper Objects), Tool-bars, add-ons and optional programmes running. You might consider removing some of these if they are not necessary. To get the best performance and save resources its best to have as little as possible running at start up but bear in mind that some programmes won't work unless they are running all the time.

Thanks Joe
Things seem to have sorted them selves out , explorer now seems to be ok , but this happen before then I was back to square one . Have been busy over easter that why i have not responded earlier. What browser help objects do you mean that are safe to remove as on explorer i didnt seem to think i had that many task bar and search tools loaded on there and when i run msconfig thought i disable most of them.

Thats good to hear. However you need to tidy thing up and this is a good opportunity to do it. I count six BHO's (Browser helper Objects) (02) Do you need them all?
Best to scroll down the HJT log yourself and let me know if there is anything you dont want running at startup or you want removed alltogether. Do not fix anything without consulting me first.
Please follow my last instruction and report back the requested information and on what you did. Please post a new Hijackthis log.
