Email Notifications For Private Messages If you want an email to be sent to you each time you receive a private message, set this to yes.
Email Replies To Posts If someone replies to one of your posts their response can be emailed to you. This option only sets the default setting and this can be over-ridden each time you post a message.

For some reason I'm not getting any replies to my posts emailed to me. I've chosen yes for replies to posts to be emailed to me, and I make sure I don't change this default option when I post a message. Double checked my email address, no problem there either.

Seems as though this poster and I share the same problem. Any news on it being resolved Paul?

I've not had any email notifications although I am very very new here. So I just thought it was me. As a result it can take me hours to get to look back to see if anything's arrived and people who are kind enough to reply might think I'm rude in not replying earlier, which I'm not!

I think the e-mail notification only goes to the person who starts a thread, so if you want to be sure, you could click on the "Favourite" icon at the bottom of the thread, then you'll be able to find it again by going into "User Options".
Hope that helps.

Emails are only sent when someone replies to your particular post within the thread.
However, you can set the index of each forum to show the latest posts at the top (goto User Options and swithc ON the DateSlip function, you can also limit the age of the thread displayed - as a regular I have it set to 2 days (which can be altered, temporarily on the forum itself)).

Thanks for clarifying that, TFC. I've only used it once, and it worked ok that time, but I've never been quite sure about it.

If you don't get an Email reply to this there is something wrong. Send a PM ti Paul Lomax who will sort it out for you. He did for me and others.
