Sending E containing Real Player item
      #393306 - Fri May 02 2008 09:52 AM

Have sent off a Real Player video, (El Camino Del Rey) to a friend and confirmed to myself. Neither of us can open and view although this is sent via the Real Player 'share video' This has happened quite a number of times, sometimes items do get through. Is there something I could do.

Furthermore if I use talk talk which does not let me send a Video from Real player, as when I click open on the item it wants to send the whole real player !

Have you tried sending the video through the conventional attachment method?

I don't understand what you mean by you cant open and view.

During or after RealPlayer playback of a video clip users can click the new "Share Video Link" feature to email friends a link to the original location of the video. I take this as not sending any video, but telling the recipient where the video came from.

Fusion thanks for reply, to be honest I think it's just talktalk Email. We have been with them since they first appeared, for phone use only, and then took out BB with them also just before the year.
I have been unable to use their Email today and when I contacted them I told them while I recognised they had probs with Mail, it had been going on for long enough that we had no Email operating during the earlier part of any day and it was only at the latter part of day, (pm), we were geting through. But the last couple of days we were not getting through at all. I was told they were working on and I suggested that the amount of time already spent was more than sufficient for a company of their and AOL size/ IT capabilities.
Problem is I do not hear anyone else complaining, about this I am convinced they have taken on too much and cannot cope.

Anyway back to prob. have tried the video share and direct attach and sometimes they works and sometimes not, when direct attach is done by pulling up Realplayer menu and trying to open to find video, talktalk wants to attach the whole real player itself. I can send anything else out of my docs or pics etc.

One other prob which I asked on forum prev. is that any attachment that comes with an E and does not need opening cannot be forwarded as when it arrives the person finds it is not there.
Cheers Cauldbum.
