I know there have been several topics on this previously, but they didn't apply specifically to my problem (image-specific). I recently opened Dreamweaver to update my website, which I haven't dealt with since September. It has always worked flawlessly and uploaded images without complaint. However, today, it's been giving me the following error nonstop:
Started: 1/7/2007 5:47 PM
public_html\barlowsnow.html - Put operation successful public_html\images\Human\Complete\Cordell Academy\2006\barlowsnow.jpg - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put barlowsnow.jpg. Access Denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.
File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed. Files updated: 1
Files with errors: 1 public_html\images\Human\Complete\Cordell Academy\2006\barlowsnow.jpg
Finished: 1/7/2007 5:47 PM
The image is in the same folder as all the others, and there's no reason for anything to be any different. Just to experiment, I tried to re-put a page with an image that already existed, and it told me that both the page and the image had changed on the remote server since I had touched them last. I continued anyway, and the same error occurred. I have no idea what would cause this, because I haven't even been on Dreamweaver for months, let alone changed any settings.
The website in question is [Commercial URL removed] - I've been trying to upload art pages, to no avail. Please dumb down any responses, since I'm very new to web design and don't understand a lot of technical terminology.

Sounds like an FTP issue. Check your site setup in Dreamweaver and test the remote server FTP.
Have you attempted to access your site via another FTP client (e.g. SmartFTP)?

I am also experiencing this problem. I have checked the site settings and tested the connection - all fine.
I have also been able to download the files using another ftp application (Cyberduck) and upload them again. (And so have temporary editing solution) but this is very frustrating.
Other tests I have done reveal that I can edit/download/upload pages and files that I have created but not ones that other users have created. Also I can put them in any location on the site.
Host servers permissions have been checked and all seem fine.
Please help. Thanks
