Access the server on my PC from over the web??

I have Apache installed on my computer and it is all running fine for my normal testing at home. What I want to be able to do is access my server from over the web by typing the ip address into a browser elsewhere.

I can't this to work though! I have a wireless network that the machine is connected to and I have set up the virtual server option on my router setting requests over port 80 to be directed to my machine. I have tried with and without my firewall turned on.

Can anyone giv eme some suggestions as to why this might not be working.
