Favicon help!

Have tried and tried to get a favicon to appear in the address bar but have so far failed. I use Freewebs to host the site so could that be the problem? Any help or advice appreciated. Cheers JB

Alternatively, assuming you have already uploaded your chosen Favicon.ico to your site, you have to insert the following code in the HEAD section of your pages, at the very least, your site's main index page:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico">

Have finally got it sorted by adding the following in the <head> section:

<link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
