Add on flash9e.ocx

Im having a problem when i try to go to different web pages, a box pops up, say IE has occured a problem and needs to close, the problem is --

Add on name flash9e.ocx

Can anyone help please....

Hi tobihughes , sounds like the Shockwave active x could be the problem ( i'm presuming you're using Internet Explorer ).

If so open I.E. and go to tools > manage add ons > enable or disable add ons . In the "show" box select "add ons currently loaded in Internet Explore". From the "enabled" list look for the Shockwave Flash Object. Left click on it and under the "settings" tab place a tick in the disable box and then click OK. Close and restart I.E. then try the web pages again.

Let us know if that helps. If it does , reinstalling the Flash active X would be the next move.

Hi ive done that, but then couldnt reinstall flash, so enabled it again, installed flash player and no more problems, thanks for yr help...

k so i'm having the same problem and i went to tools, manage addons and disabled it but now when i try to go back into the website it says the webpage wants to use an addon thats been disabled or blocked
