Hi there,
Was just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem Im having at the moment using an internet site. I use the site regularly but recently its been shutting down on me without warning and coming up with an error message window headed "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience"
Upon clicking on the link on this error pop up dialogue box, headed "To see what data this error report contains click here", it opens another window which contains the following opening information under the heading Error Signature.
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: flash9e.ocx ModVer: 9.0.115.0 Offset: 00004851
A friend of mine who also uses the same site advised me to uninstall Flash Player and then reinstall the latest version, which I tried but the problem is still happening.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to cure this?
Thanks

Yep , good advice i would say . Did you uninstall Flash via add/remove , or did you use the flash uninstaller ( think through a previous post you're familiar with the uninstaller ).

I did at first do it through add/remove then I remembered the uninstaller and tried it again. But even using the uninstaller and then installing the latest version, the same problem still occurs, so now Im not sure what to try next.

Download and run....this...little repair tool then test your flash install... here. On the test site you may be offered an update to your shockwave player , which you should take.
Let us know the outcome.

It appears I spoke too soon, I now get an error message saying Internet explorer found an error with an add on and refers to the Flash Player. Im going to try uninstalling and reinstalling flash player again to see if that cures it, getting frustrating now, but will let you know how it goes.
