bookmark backup
      #337235 - Sat Mar 10 2007 03:41 PM

hi all,

Could someone please tell me how to save all my bookmarks using FF please?

I've just lost all my bookmarks in FF due to windows recovering from a serious error the error bit was easy to fix (it was a driver issue) but I've lost all of my FF bookmarks.

I've used system restore to go back a week in the hope that they'd be there, with no joy and the most annoying part of it all is, I was going to post today asking how to save your bookmarks using FF

thanks in advance

Ray

Ray?
You can transfer your bookmarks to the www.linkagogo.com site for free and bring them back Have to d use a convertor program (instructions are easy to follow) and they remain on the linkagogo server as a public or Private search page...And you can access these from any computer

I Have used this service for a few years and it is stable

Ps They give you a free working starter page with many preloaded sites to mess around with and You can build up on that

This mozillaZine Knowledge Base article may help you to retrieve your bookmarks - Lost bookmarks. For future backups, have a look here.

thanks for the tips guys.

I've installed mozbackup and i'll backup, the backup file once a month (just to play safe).

Sadly, I've not been able to restore my bookmarks, but it doesn't matter too much, I'll put it down to a lesson learnt and also, they needed thinning out anyway.

thanks again.

ray

You're very welcome. At least you'll be able to backup your bookmarks now, as well as other things!
