hi just done a speed test (www.broadband-expert.co.uk) it says
Your local exchange is Carnoustie, judging by your distance from this exchange, you should be able to achieve up to 3Mbps on your line.
here's the result of test (Your Download Speed: 0.79 Mbps
TalkTalk Average: 2.74mb)
(Your Upload Speed: 171 Kbps
TalkTalk Average: 516kb)
can you tell me how to achieve 3Mbps
or if treres a tutorial on the web i can view thanks kirriejim

It depends on other factors such as the number of people on the same exchange, if someone is downloading lots of p2p files or torrents this can all affect your speeds.
