Virgin Wireless Question
      #384072 - Wed Feb 13 2008 12:09 PM

Hi,
I have Virgin cable broadband and I have just bought a WiFi Internet radio.
I now need to buy a wireless router. Question is, which ones are compatable with Virgin cable ?

The below are but a few Wireless Routers that will do the job. The list has been taken from the cheaper end of PC Worlds range! (Ahem!) but just use google to find cheaper alternatives!

D-LINK DI-524 WIRELESS 54MBPS ROUTER
NETGEAR WGB111BDL - 100UKS 54Mbps Wireless Router
D-LINK DKT-110 54G Cable Router
Belkin F5D7230UK4 Wireless 54g Router
NETGEAR WGTB111T-100UKS WIRELESS 108MBPS ROUTER

I hope this helps

Faircloss

Just one more question.....
When searching out a router, what should I be looking out for in the specifications, in order for the router to work with cable broadband (or Virgin Cable Broadband, to be more precise) ?

In general terms you are looking for a DSL router that DOES NOT have a built in Broadband modem. Have a look here for 19 different ones. Again, in general terms, those described as meeting the Wireless-N standard or pre-N will have the greatest range and the strongest signal.
