Broadband Connection Problem
      #379516 - Fri Jan 11 2008 11:38 PM

I have just got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium, but when I Try To install the software from the CD that came with the Virgin Media modem I get error message that says "your computer does not have an Ethernet Card (NIC)
My old laptop still connects to the net using the same modem and ethernet cable.

Can someone please tell where the problem is!

thanks

You don't need to install anything from the Virgin CD to connect to the net. Just plug your Ethernet cable into the back of the laptop and your set to go. Also make sure that the Local Area Network in Control Panel is not disabled.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
