See if you can solve this one! Any advice much appreciated
I'm new to broadband, decided to go with talktalk, and first week excellent no problems.
Then one day last week I couldn't get any access to internet whatsoever. Spent 2 hours on phone to tech support in south africa and they couldnt resolve. Next day, I switched on and broadband connection was working again.
However, I now have the following issues.
I cannot seem to send/reply to email addresses other than my own talktalk accounts, outlook express just times out.
Also, most of the time I cannot login to my ebay account, very occasionally I am lucky and can get in. I can pull up the main ebay page www.ebay.co.uk without probs and other web pages seem to load up fine.
TalkTalk said there are no issues with the broadband connection, and suggested that ebay was down (which it obviously wasn't).
I'm really stuck as I've looked at everything I can think of.
I'm wondering if the MTU settings in the modem/PC need adjusting - could this be the cause ?
I'm sure it's a settings/configuration issue somewhere.
