Sky Broadband keeps "Aquiring Network Adress"
      #357302 - Fri Jul 13 2007 10:22 AM

Any Help appreicated lads.

Last night I tried connecting to my Sky Broadband but it that kept on happening was it kept saying "Aquiring Network Adress" and would not let me on to any internet sites.
It would connect and then disconnect. I have tried resetting the router on numerous occasions, switched it off all night last night and tried again this morning but no joy.
Been on the blower to sky and all they tell me is that there is a problem with my local exchange which I have checked and has been proved not to be true.

Has anyone else had this problem??

Thanks in advance

I cannot see why Sky should be telling you that there is a problem in the exchange if it isn't true. They don't go round making up stories for the sake of it. What did they tell you they would do about it, if anything? What did they tell you to do? How do you know there isn't a problem with the exchange, particularly as Sky use LLU where they can?

Well they have told me it was fixed today but when I tried it I still had the same problem. Although I did try it before ringing them. I have not tried since I last spoke to them. My computer tells me that Im connected with a wire but wont let me visit any internet sites. Would this happen if there was an error with th local exchange??
