For some strange reason When i click on the BT Brodaband icon to connect a error message comes up saying:
"There was an error loading the BT Broadband dial up entry"
I have just noticed something which could be the cause of this problem. When i went to my computer the dial up networking folder is gone and it was always there before so I cant access the BT Broadband dial up folder.
And no its not set as a hidden folder lol. All the connections are still there as i can connect with them when i go on internet explorer but becasue the dial up networking folder is gone i can't change there settings.
Maybe because the dial up networking folder has been moved or is gone the BT Broadband installation wizard can't find it to put its BT Broadband folder in.
Sounds stupid but i dont have a clue especially the way it just dissapeared.
Don't put the windows CD in unless you are asked for it. Unplug your BB modem from the computer. Goto start settings control panel. Add/remove programs double click to open. The middle tab on the top will be windows setup click this. Windows will now be looking for installed components. When the list appears untick Communications and press apply and when asked press ok to restart. When the computer restarts repeat the steps above and retick communications Apply and ok to restart. DUN should be back when the pc restarts check to make sure communications is ticked now. Plug your modem back in now and it should be redetected You may or may not need to reinstall the BB modem sometimes this is necessary. If at any time during the process the computer asks for the windows CD just insert It into your CDrom drive and press ok. If it's unable to find the files type in in the on the bottom where to look for the files example if your cdrom drive is D: Type this D:\win98 and press ok
I'll do that as soon as i re-install my priner as for some reason here is now a corrupt file on it. Who knows what will hapen next maybe my computer will finally do what my avatar is doing lol
I re-installed it successfully and I didn't even have to re-install BT Broadband which i'm sick of doing so that was a good thing. Thanks alot for your help
