Upgrading Memory (Help)
      #394358 - Fri May 16 2008 01:26 PM

Hi Guys,

I wanted to uprgade the memory on my Mum's very slow computer, she has a e-machines, AMD Athlon Computer, 80GB HD, 512 DDR Ram, I want to upgrade her memory to at least 1 GB possibly 2GB but i was just wandering two things?

1. How much would this cost and what type do i buy?? (ebay seem to have some)
2. How do i fit this, i have heard it is quite a simple job, i know a bit about PC's but i am no expert.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards
Nathan

This link will help you determine the correct memory for your Mum's System. The SCAN MY SYSTEM tool must be done on your System to be upgraded.

. . . . >> Crucial System Scanner tool

Hit the SCAN MY SYSTEM button and follow the prompts.

This will advise on compatible memory, price and importantly how much more you can add. You can't just add as much as you want. It is Motherboard dependant.

This link . . . . >> How to Install Computer Memory is a short video how it's done. Simplistic, but to the point.
