i have recently bought a new laptop which runs Windows Vista. I have a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 which I have tried to install on Windows Vista.
When I type the registration key in, it tells me that i need to have a copy of Microsoft Office 97,2000 or XP which I don't have.
How would you recommend I install Microsoft Office 2003 onto my New Windows Vista machine.

Sounds like it's an Office upgrade disk, not a full installation one.

Following on from Richie's reply, it means you need to install your older version of Office first before upgrading to 2003. Having said that, don't try and run any earlier version than 2003 under Vista, you'll get all sorts of trouble. Simply install your old version and then immediately do the upgrade followed by a Microsoft Update.

i don't have an older version to install. All I have is Microsoft Office 2003 upgrade disk.
I originally bought for my Windows XP machine and had no problems installing on XP.
Just can't install on Windows Vista. What do i do?

Then by definition you must have had an older version to upgrade from. If you haven't then your only choice is to go out a buy a full version.
