media player not finding disc for burning

i am using xp(sp2)media player 11,after i have set up my list for burning,the medai player ask me to insert a disc,it says as soon as windows detects the disc burning will star,this never happens then it ask me to insert a disc.even if the disc is in the pc before i klick burn it still does the same.media 9 and 10 worked

Delete the drive from the device manager and reboot the PC and see if that works.
