ipop nano problem

I have an old type ipod Nano that has stopped working,all that is showing on the screen is "Disk Mode" with a tick on the screen and says at the bottom "OK to disconnect" and will do nothing else.Any help appreciated.Cheers WW.

Have you tried resetting it by holding the Menu & Select buttons for 6 seconds?
