I seem to remember somebody asked a while ago whether it was possible to get internet access without registering. I don't remember the reasons (sounds dodgy to me), but I came across adial yesterday. I haven't used the service myself, but thought I'd post the link incase anybody is interested.

Use Google and search for ecosse.net. It has worked for many years.
You do have to register for e-mail though, for obvious reasons.

You're right. Ecosse does seem to offer the same deal. I still don't understand why anybody would want to avoid signing up though.
